I am going to share with you something that happened yesterday while I was praying.
I started praying for my children. As I brought them before the Lord a very unusual thing happened. It was like Jesus came along side me and whispered in my ear, “I care for them too. Your prayers are my prayers. I understand. I love them.” One of the things I have missed since my husband’s passing is someone to agree in prayer with me for them. When BIG things happened: good or bad, we had each other to intercede or celebrate together. When I heard those whisperers it was just like I had a prayer partner with me! My faith and confidence soared. I knew that everything I was praying about was in His hands and He was answering. It was a very precious time.
Romans 8:26 And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot not be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will.
Romans 8:34 Who then will condemn us? No one–for Christ Jesus died for us, and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us.
This experience is a wonderful reminder, again, of how much we are loved and cared for by our dear Heavenly Father. This gracious revelation is not just for me. But for all of us. Single moms, God’s got your back. Other widows, you are not alone. Those of you who have difficult marriages, the Holy Spirit is working with you and your spouse to bring you to the same page. Single folks you have a prayer partner! I know this may seem very basic and ho-hum to some of you, but I needed this reminder. We are not alone in this life journey. He is so present if we allow Him to be. I am amazed at how often these true realities seem to fade into the background and I go back to feeling I am doing life alone. The God of Heaven’s Armies is with us!!! Remember, rejoice and even repent if you need to–You are Not Alone in this Life. God sees you. He hears your cry, and wonder of wonders He is answering those prayers. Moving behind the scenes, working on your behalf, waiting for the perfect time to bring His great reveal. In the meantime, cultivate His presence and enjoy Him. Our Savior is an awesome God to get to know.
